The Aldwych Tube Station, closed in 1994 and originally a one-stop branch of the Piccadilly Line, played the New York City subway in the films Superman IV, An American Werewolf in London, and Patriot Games. It was also featured in The Prodigy's video for Firestarter, and the films V For Vendetta and The Krays.
The first demonstration of a television took place at 22 Frith St. in Soho. The location is now the spot of the 24-hour restaurant, Bar Italia. Soho may have been named after the ancient hunting cry (soho!), or after the rallying cry used by the Duke of Monmouth (soho!) or because of its location (SOuth of HOlborn).
Arrivals Limited was begun by Sarah Western, who was relocated from New York to London in March 2003. At the time of her move, she had spent almost 10 years in the music industry with Universal Music Group and AOL LLC, focusing on marketing and digital music. Before turning her attention to Arrivals Limited, Sarah managed the relationships between AOL UK and their music, film, TV, magazine, travel and education partners.
Sarah was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Tampa, Florida. She has a BA in journalism and a minor in psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Her love for London began when she was a student at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and spent her sophomore year studying at Pepperdine’s South Kensington campus and working at Tower Records in Piccadilly Circus.
Upon returning to London for work, Sarah began hosting monthly dinners for new arrivals and networking them with other London ex-pats and residents. From there, the idea for a business distilled.
"If you can get paid for doing what you love and helping others, then that truly is a dream job, and for me, that job is Arrivals," Sarah says. "Not only do we help employee productivity and help deliver successful relocations — the business side — we also help people enjoy their lives in London more. And that is extremely rewarding."

After three and one-half years living in High Street Kensington, Sarah moved to Wapping, East London, where she lives with her husband.
